Conceeding a Temporary Defeat

Hello readers and listeners.

I’m going to concede defeat for the first time on a story. I had an elaborate mix of the random “dark detective story” theme.  It featured a detective, a children’s party clown and influences from Friedrich Nietzsche mixed together to my own ends.  I would love to finish that tale some day.

Without being melodramatic, things have sucked. I’m fighting hard to make things not suck. That necessity for improvement means surrounding myself with the cold iron of reason and absolute optimism. See: The Iron Doll. I need to create new opportunities from the wreckage of recent events.

The tarot readings are going to be put on hold. I want to continue the alphabetic reviewing of my dvd rack when time permits. Even in that, I’m spending a lot more time watching Hellgirl and Trinity: Blood with my wife. I really like my wife and want to spend more time with her.

There is also, as my friends on Twitter, Facebook or Google+ know, a Project:Whiteworm being worked on. It relates to this podcast and I have every intention of finishing it between now and the podcast’s return.

I dislike doing this very much. This is how too many of my favorite projects have slipped away into the deep slumber. This is how too many of my own projects have atrophied. I also feel like I was just getting started.

We’ll see.

Thank you,

-Andrew M. Johnston
